Welcome to Social Circles, a social activities club for urban professionals, operated by Social Circles LLC ("Social Circles"). The Social Circles Privacy Policy may be found below.

PLEASE NOTE THIS POLICY DISCLOSES THE INFORMATION GATHERING AND DISCLOSURE PRACTICES OF Social Circles LLC. This statement applies to all information provided by you: (1) while using any World Wide Web Sites owned and maintained by Social Circles LLC; (2) while participating in events and trips produced or sponsored by Social Circles; and/or (3) for your purchase and/or use of any products and services offered by Social Circles and its commonly held affiliates.

Your use of the Social Circles Website and/or aforementioned events, trips, products and services constitutes your acceptance of the terms and conditions of the Social Circles Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use Agreement. You are responsible for reviewing and becoming familiar with all of these terms.

SOCIAL CIRCLES GATHERS OR MAY GATHER THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:

ONLINE TRACKING

Our Website may utilize technologies, including cookies to keep track of the contents of your shopping basket, to administer our site, to gather broad demographic information, to deliver content requested by you or specific to your interests, to customize our Website for you, and to save your password and member name so that you don't have to enter it each time you visit.

ONLINE/OFFLINE REGISTRATION

Membership to Social Circles is completely optional. Social Circles’ registration forms require users to give contact information (e.g., your name, address and e-mail address) and demographic information (e.g., your birth date). Information designated is primarily used to send members information and announcements about their Social Circles’ account and club participation. At times Social Circles may share names, mailing and e-mail addresses and demographic information with carefully selected organizations.

ONLINE/OFFLINE PURCHASES

When purchasing products or services from Social Circles, you may be asked for credit card billing and shipping information. This information is transmitted using a secure, encrypted form. We ensure encryption through the use of standard SSL encryption technologies. This credit card, billing and shipping information is gathered to bill customers for goods and services purchased and to ship merchandise. Only billing vendors have access to financial information and only for the purpose of billing customers. At times Social Circles may refer users to other Websites to purchase products. User activity on those sites is covered by the privacy policies on those sites.

At times Social Circles may conduct surveys asking for specific contact or demographic information. These surveys are always optional. At times Social Circles may share both the results of, and individual entries in, surveys with the sponsors of the survey. Results of surveys may be shared with partners and advertisers.

At times Social Circles may run contests where we ask for contact or demographic information. These contests are always optional. At times Social Circles may share both the results of, and individual entries in, contests with the sponsors of the contests. Results of contests may be shared with partners and advertisers.

MESSAGE BOARDS, CHAT ROOMS, POLLS, AND COMMUNITY TOOLS

Social Circles provides many venues for member interaction and community, which may include message boards, chat rooms, online polls, and other tools. In some cases use of such tools (e.g., chat rooms and message boards) may reveal a user's member name or e-mail address and may permit users to publish certain personal information (e.g., Web page links and content ratings) on the Social Circles Website. In all cases, users affirmatively choose to expose or place this information in public areas of the Social Circles Website, and thereby agree that such information may be viewed by or forwarded to anyone. Users who do not want this information to be publicly available should not use these optional features on the Social Circles Website. The result of polls may be shared on the Social Circles Website.

SOCIAL CIRCLES PROFILES FOR CONNECT ME ADVANTAGE™

Social Circles requires users to submit personal information for use in our Connect Me Advantage™ program. This information is stored offline for the sole purpose of assisting in the creating of groups of compatible members. We will never publish, share or sell any information or photos received from a member in conjunction with the Connect Me Advantage™ program.

MEMBER FEEDBACK

Social Circles stores feedback members send to us. This feedback is used to administer and refine Social Circles Website, products and services and at times may be shared with Social Circles partners.

IP ADDRESSES/CLEAR GIFS

Social Circles may track individual IP addresses and uses clear GIFs to help diagnose problems with our service, to administer our site and to gather broad demographic information. User IP address information is used only for our internal purposes. Information gathered through our use of clear GIFs cannot be traced to an individual user and is used only for our internal purposes.

ADDITIONAL DISCLOSURE SCENARIOS

Notwithstanding anything else in this policy, Social Circles may also disclose personal and aggregate information when required by a valid legal mechanism such as a search warrant, subpoena, or court order, or when we deem it necessary, in our sole discretion, to protect our rights and the safety of others, or our members, employees, or properties.

Social Circles believes that members' private communications in chat rooms, e-mail, and instant message-like conversations should generally remain confidential. Social Circles does not read or disclose private communications unless ordered to do so through a valid legal mechanism such as a search warrant, subpoena, or court order, to protect the company's rights and property, or during emergencies when we believe safety is at risk. Please remember that what you write or post in public areas such as chat rooms and message boards is available to all Social Circles members, and in many cases other visitors to the Social Circles Website. Also keep in mind that Social Circles is not responsible for what other users may do with private communications you've had with them.

Social Circles reserves the right to share some or all of your personal information with its parent company, subsidiaries, joint ventures or other companies under common control with Social Circles, in which case Social Circles will require such entities to honor this privacy policy. If Social Circles is acquired by another company, that company will obtain the member information collected by Social Circles and will assume the rights and obligations set forth in this privacy policy may be regarding that information.

Social Circles provides links to other sites. Social Circles is not responsible for the privacy practices or contents of these other sites.

SYNDICATED SOCIAL CIRCLES CONTENT

Social Circles may syndicate its content to and distribute its content through other sites on the Internet. Although you may see the Social Circles logo on these pages, your activity on these sites is governed by the privacy statement on the site you're visiting.

DELETE/DEACTIVATE INFORMATION

Social Circles is not responsible for removing information from third-party lists or databases with whom users have previously authorized us to share their information.

Social Circles may use reputable third parties to serve some of the advertisements you see on the pages of the Social Circles Website. These clear GIFs allow our ad serving company to recognize a browser's cookie when the browser visits the Social Circles Website. This allows us to learn which banner ads bring users to our site. The information we collect and share through this technology is not linked to any information that would allow our ad server to personally identify our users
